Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., "950E", 16 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, temperature and isochronism, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, gold jewel settings, and gold timing screws in a white gold filled, screw back and bezel, engraved open face case, Arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial, black steel baton hands, serial #2649737, c1940.
CONDITION:
CASE: Case has housed another movement; Minor dings; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches and scuffs on inner surface of case; Engraving with minor wear; Gold filled with minor brassing; Crystal with minor scratches; Pendant with brassing; Bow pivots worn, loose. DIAL: Hairline in enamel, light, center to seconds bit. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Scratches on plate; Cluster of scratches and shallow dings at 4th wheel bridge screw; Fine scratches on winding wheels; Crown wheel core with spot of oxide; One ratchet wheel cap screw broken; Regulator with specks of oxide; Regulator spring missing; Balance endstone setting marred; Some screws replaced; Some screws with marred slots. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
